A healthy, great-looking lawn doesn’t happen by accident — especially at Lake Anna, where soil conditions, weather, and lakefront runoff all play a role. That’s why we don’t treat lawn care as a single service, but as a whole-property system designed to work together over time.
Below are the most common questions homeowners ask about our lawn care and maintenance programs, including what’s included, how often we service, and how flexible our plans really are.
What does “whole-property lawn care” mean?
Whole-property lawn care means we look at your entire outdoor space — not just the grass. That includes turf health, soil condition, drainage, beds, edges, and how everything works together. Instead of one-off treatments, we build a plan that supports long-term results across your whole yard.
What’s included in your lawn care programs?
Our programs are designed to cover the essentials your lawn needs throughout the year. Depending on your property, services may include fertilization, weed control, disease prevention, insect and grub control, aeration, overseeding, mowing, edging, and seasonal cleanups. We tailor the plan to your lawn’s needs and your goals.
What is the Prime Lawn Program?
The Prime Lawn Program is our most popular option. It includes 10 scheduled applications per year, timed to Virginia’s growing seasons, focusing on fertilizer, weed control, disease prevention, and insect protection. It’s designed to keep your lawn consistently healthy without guesswork.
How often do you service the lawn?
Treatment visits follow a seasonal schedule, typically every 3–5 weeks, depending on weather and growth cycles. Mowing services are usually weekly during the growing season. We set expectations clearly so you know when to expect us.
When do lawn treatments start and end?
Most lawn treatment programs begin in late winter or early spring and continue through late fall or early winter, depending on conditions. This timing helps prevent weeds before they start and keeps turf strong through heat and cold.
Do you offer mowing and fertilization together?
Yes. Many homeowners choose to combine mowing with fertilization and treatments for a true set-it-and-forget-it approach. Combining services ensures everything works together and keeps your lawn looking polished all season.
Do you handle weed control?
Yes. Weed control is a core part of our lawn care programs. We focus on prevention first, using pre-emergent treatments, and address existing weeds as needed to keep lawns clean and uniform.
Do you provide disease prevention?
We do. Turf diseases are common in our region, especially during hot, humid months. Our programs include preventative treatments when conditions call for them, helping avoid widespread damage before it starts.
Do you offer insect and grub control?
Yes. Insect and grub control are included or available as part of our lawn care programs. Treating early helps prevent root damage, thinning turf, and costly repairs later.
Is aeration really necessary?
For most lawns, yes. Over time, soil becomes compacted, limiting air, water, and nutrients from reaching roots. Aeration relieves compaction, improves soil health, and boosts the effectiveness of fertilizer and overseeding.
How often should aeration be done?
Most lawns benefit from aeration once per year, especially high-traffic areas or lawns with clay-heavy soil. Some properties may benefit from aeration every other year depending on conditions.
Do you offer overseeding?
Yes. Overseeding is often paired with aeration to thicken turf, improve color, and fill in bare areas. It’s especially helpful after summer stress or lawn damage.
Can lawn care be customized?
Absolutely. Every property is different. We regularly adjust programs based on soil tests, grass type, sun exposure, lake proximity, and homeowner goals. Customization is part of our process, not an upgrade.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
No long-term contracts are required. We believe good service earns loyalty — not paperwork.
Can I pause or cancel services?
Yes. Our programs are flexible. You can pause, adjust, or cancel services with notice. We’ll always communicate clearly so there are no surprises.
